Office health

The National Health and Medical Services is committed to helping businesses to maintain the health and safety of all of their employees and visitors to their offices.

Employers guiding principle should be how organisations take care of their people and safeguard their health and well-being.  This should be at the heart of any decisions and plans that organisations make.

The National Health and Medical Service is urging businesses to ensure they can meet three key tests before bringing their people back to the workplace:

1. has Covid-19 testing been implemented? Have all staff returning to work been tested with a valid PCR-Swab test to confirm they do not have the virus right now?

See here for more information.

2. Is it sufficiently safe? Employers have a duty of care to identify and manage risks to ensure that the workplace is sufficiently safe to return to. Employers should implement new virus protection health and safety measures and ensure they can work with larger numbers before encouraging more of their workforce back.

3. As well as keeping up to date with the latest Government guidance employers should start thinking about the physical, emotional and mental well-being of the workforce

As a result of the global Covid – 19 pandemic, Business offices across the country will implement new personal health protection policies and provide additional virus protection products to their staff. This includes necessary arrangements such as providing hand sanitiser dispensers in building entrances everywhere.

Also, providing a protective screen to protect front desk receptionists is very important.  These protective screens must be added and provide a sensitive and friendly format.
